WINE LOVERS — Great Wine Tour — Georgia for YOU!

A unique author’s wine — gastronomic journey to the homeland of wine-making.

All four main wine — growing regions of Georgia — Kartli, Kakheti, Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi. 18 tastings. All types of farms — from domestic peasants, micro-wines — to one plant. Historical attractions and cuisine of the listed regions.

Shish kebab in the fresh air, in Kakheti, right on the vineyard with a view of the mountains and Alazani valley. Interesting meetings with winemakers. Rest day in the beautiful Ateni Gorge.

The pearl of the journey is the North-West of Georgia with its natural semi-sweet wines and rare beauty.

The trip is rich and fascinating. For those who want to learn about Georgia’s winemaking and cuisine a little more than standard tourist routes and restaurants allow.

The cost of the tour includes all transfers, tastings, excursions to the program, accommodation, meals, guide.


Day 1 – Tbilisi, Mtskheta.

  • Group gathering. Visit to the wine festival. Dinner.
  • Tour of Old Tbilisi.
  • A trip to the ancient capital of Georgia — Mtskheta. Svetitskhoveli and Jvari.
  • Return to Tbilisi.
  • A review lecture on Georgian wine-making with tasting and light snacks in the wine bar. Acquaintance with the route.
  • Transfer to the hotel.


Day 2 – Kartli, Bolnisi, Tbilisi

  • Breakfast, departure to Bolnisi district, Kvemo-Kartli. Visiting the oldest church of the 5th century (Bolnisi Sion)
  • Moving to the monastery on the mountain. Scenic views and tasting of monastic wine.
  • The city of Bolnisi. Visit to the home cellar, wine tasting, lunch.
  • Return to Tbilisi.


Day 3 –  Imereti. Zestafoni, Kvaliti, Kutaisi.

  • Breakfast. Departure to Western Georgia.
  • Tasting wine at a small home winery.Moving to the next farm. Walk to the wine yard, tasting and dinner at the winemaker’s house.
  • Visit carst caves and attractions.
  • Transfer to the hotel in Kutaisi.
  • Dinner.


Day 4 – Lechkhumi. Okuresti, Tvishi, Ambrolauri.

  • Breakfast, departure from Kutaisi to Lechkhumi.
  • Wine tasting from a rare variety of Ushalauri in a vineyard.
  • Moving to Tvishi. Wine tasting in the household, lunch.
  • Transfer to Racha, hotel in Ambrolauri.


Day 5 – Racha. Ambrolauri, Khvanchkara, Shovi, Utsera, Jvarisa.

  • Breakfast. Visits to the winery in Ambrolauri. Excursion and tasting.
  • Hvanchkara. Tasting of the wine of the same name and lunch in a private household.
  • Walk to Shovi and Utsera. Mineral springs.
  • Wine tasting and dinner at the winemaker’s house.
  • Return to the hotel in Ambrolauri.


Day 6 —  Kartli. Athen gorge.

  • Breakfast. Departure to Ateni.
  • Nikortsminda. Shaori. Pass 9 crosses.
  • Athen gorge. Waterfalls, Zion.
  • Tasting, lunch, dinner.
  • Hotel.


Day 7 – Kakheti. Manavi, Bodbe, Signagi, Akhasheni, Gremi, Ikalto.

  • Breakfast, departure to the eastern part of Georgia, famous wine region — Kakheti.
  • Wine tasting in Manavi.
  • Visit the Bodbe convent. The city of love is Signagi. Fortress wall and beautiful views of the Alazani valley. Dinner.
  • Transfer to a new winery with a unique three-level Kvevri system (pitchers). Tasting.
  • Visit Gremi — the ancient capital of Kakheti, the temple of the Archangels and the museum.
  • Wine tasting in the Temi community.
  • Transfer to the hotel.
  • Dinner.


Day 8  – Kakheti. Iqalto, Saniori.

  • Breakfast. Visit the monastery in Ikalto.
  • Lunch at the vineyard with bio products and a beautiful view of the Alazani Valley and the Caucasian Range.
  • Visit to a private winery in Saniori, wine tasting.
  • Return to the hotel.
  • Dinner.



Day 9 –  Kakheti. Telavi, Kisishevi, Vardisubani, Tbilisi.

  • Breakfast. Visit to the monastery of Alaverdi.
  • Tasting and lunch at a private winery.
  • Cheese factory, local cheese tasting.
  • Wine tasting in a beautiful tourist complex.
  • Return to Tbilisi.
  • Hotel.



Day 10 – Departure.

  • Breakfast.
  • Departure from the hotel.
  • Airport transfer.
